Value stream mapping is a 'Lean' technique used to initially analyse the existing or 'Current State' of a business in terms of flow and lead time. Fully understanding
the current state helps design the 'Future State' where waste and lead time have been reduced to improve cash flow throughout the value stream.
After being trained by Toyota in their 'material and information flow mapping' techniques, I have over 20 yrs experience of mapping both manufacturing and 'back room' (office based) processes.
I also deliver VSM training which provides clients the ability to drive strategic policy deployment through lean transformation.
